And since Talintel's product is for the Healthcare industry, privacy is paramount. To accommodate those privacy needs, the404error created a sandboxed environment within Talintel's Ruby on Rails application to make sure various customers data was never co-mingled in violation of privacy laws.

The Pabst Theater Foundation oversees three of the premiere music and performance venues in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They have some pretty big names playing so when there's a new on sale announced, the site sees some serious traffic. They reached out to the404error for a custom CMS that could scale as needed.

the404error partnered with The Pabst's design team to build a front-end precisely tailored to The Pabst' aesthetic requirements. The Pabst team delivered Photoshop files with all the media assets and the404error used those assets and built a powerful, scaleable CMS engine using Ruby on Rails.

Since Ruby on Rails was used, features like draggable reordering of events, built-in HTML and Textile support for easy contend editing, and page caching we're quickly added. A real standout feature was Google/Double-Click ad integration, allowing The Pabst to track and maintain their ad inventory through the custom CMS backend.

Initially started out as a favor for a close friend, this project turned out to be technically challenging and extremely rewarding. Qview is a scheduling/dispatching solution that replaced an aging Windows application that was out-of-support and starting to have serious issues.

the404error was able to convert all of the data from the old system and populate the new database used by Rails highlighting our ability to migrate and interface with a variety of data sources either through custom migration software or via an API.

Qview sports a completely drag-and-drop "iCal like" UI built with jQuery. Users can drag equipment and personnel right into the calendar to schedule events. This all sits on a robust back-end built, of course, with Ruby on Rails. The extensive use of jQuery to build a whole interface from scratch is extreme, but it shows that the404error is not afraid of meeting big challenges to build a great UI.
